Sister Snyder struck up a special friendship with this young man, Meng, who was baptized last week by Elder Chea (white tie). Elder Draper, far right, helped teach the lessons to Meng. Meng is learning English, and has hopes for a bright future. Talented and outgoing, he made Sister Snyder some beautiful origami swans and decorative stars. As an aside, we recently visited with a young man who has been called to a mission in Australia. He has worked in a glass shop for the past three years. He started at $8 a month, and after a year and a half was making $40 a month. At the end of his three years, he was making $80 a month. Through its Perpetual Education Fund, the church assists members with training and education to enable them to lead successful lives and support a family.
